Selera Rimba and Pau Yik Mun - April 2012.

Last April we went to Restoran Selera Rimba at Sungai Besar, Selangor. What interesting about Selera Rimba is they serve 'rare' meats such as ayam hutan and hedgehog. They turn the raw meats to mouth watering rendang, curry and even spicy sambal.

As usual, the regimentals including Subki hit the road as early as 6 o'clock in the morning from Kedah. Ibu and I waited them at southbound of  Hentian Sebelah Simpang Pulai.

Around 9 o'clock in the morning, we began our journey to Restoran Selera Rimba. The traffic was good. We had Subki this time. He was good in speeding. So he pulled all regimentals to synchro with his speed.

We reached the restaurant quarter past 12 in the afternoon. All of us were starving upon parking our bikes. Luckily we had made our meals reservation 2 days before our journey.

Basically the meals that we had reserved were Rendang Landak, Masak Lemak Puyu, Asam Pedas Ikan Tapah, Ayam Hutan Goreng and some Ulam. The foods were so delicious until the taste has made Subki wrongly mentioned Tenggiling as part our meal several times. Naah, he isn't a boozer dude!

We quit filling our stomachs with all the rare meats around 2 o'clock in the afternoon.  Supposedly there should be no more eating session as per plan. Suddenly we thought of Pau Yik Mun in Tanjung Malim. Fortunately we just entered KL-Ipoh federal road. Without wasting our time, we made our way to the shop.

Eventhough we're already stuffed with all jungle-type menu at Sg. Besar just now, but we still allowed our bellies to be filled up once again with numbers of pau. Haha!

We're done at Pau Yik Mun half past 3 o'clock in the afternoon and made our way back to north. As always, eat-to-stuffed is the objectif principal for us.

Quench our thirst after several hours ride on sunny day.
Thank you Alexander Zulkarnain for this shot.

Steady Subki and trust me, no way our lauk contain tenggiling as you always accidentally said.

As usual, Jejai will begin our conversation with golden-and-you-can't-get-anywhere benefits buying his insurance products.

Again Jejai in action
