Taiping Lake Garden - 27 Oct 12.

I didn't know somehow my kids dragged me to unusual activity of boating on the 2nd day of Aidil Adha break. Luckily I did participated in qurban this morning at Kg. Boyan. So it's quite alright to bring them to Taiping Lake Garden in the evening.

We boated about 40 minutes around the lake. After we were in the middle of the lake, then we felt very calm  as calm as water of the lake. The moment brought my mind back to my childhood days...

I still remember I was able to cycle from my house to Taiping Lake Garden every evening ,
I still remember my daily school pocket money was obtained through part-time work at the place where I am boating now,
I still remember 16 years ago I was accidentally spotted a teenage girl making her way out from Ipoh Bakery outlet together with her parents when I was cycling to Taiping Jaya supermarket, and I never expected at all she is now my infinity...

I wish I could turn back time.

The sole paddler, which is me.

Coconut trees line up along the lake side.

Infamous sign of the lake garden situated at one of small island.

Yong is staring at the water surface just to be sure there is no  scary creatures approaching her boat.

We boating near Maghrib time.

Keep on paddling because the two behind still infant to hold the paddles.

Get ready kids, we're approaching the fountain.

Haha! We're all wet after boating near the fountain.

Ibu get showered too.

Paddling back to pier.

1,864 Corners Mae Hong Son, Thailand - May 2012.

This adventurous ride was planned by our factory ‘Field Marshall’; Mr. RG.  I was not part of the pack in the early stage but I didn’t know somehow Mr. RY told me to be part of them as it was a request by Mr. RG. It was on month of May, and I still have sufficient coffers (for my family especially) to join this one in lifetime journey.

This was Mr. RG’s second time trip to thousand corners. So participants like Mr. RY, Mr. Hayy, Mr. Hazari and me especially were lucky to have this experienced-biker for this trip. The trip was scheduled during factory shutdown (28th Apr ~ 6th May 12).

Well, the feeling was mixed about this ride. There was a time I felt overjoy to reach Mae Hong Son safely. Occasionally, I felt totally regret that almost made me re-tuned my brain to look for possible U-turn especially after stayed up all night in a hyper-scary crib at Khun Yuam. And also I felt in hurry to be in Ipoh from Cha Am after received news about Ad Din was suffering high grade fever due to tonsillitis.

But finally, in overall, I felt thankful to The Almighty for letting me completed this ride safely, thankful again to Him for allowing me to be in soil of Mae Hong Son; the famous 1864 curves and thankful once again to Him for allowing Ad Din recovered his fever quickly.

NOTE: PLEASE DON'T TRUST DATE AND TIME PRINTED ON PHOTOS BELOW. I WAS FORGOTTEN TO RESET THEM IN MY CAMERA.
